NYRVA
armchair collaboration
NYRVA, founded by David Minor, is a bold and expressive clothing brand that speaks for those who favor style over seasonality. Rooted in craftsmanship and authentic self-expression, NYRVA utilizes distinctive materials like hand-waxed cowhide to create pieces that are loud yet understated, letting the clothing do the talking. The brand reflects David's own journey from humble beginnings to independent luxury streetwear, championing comfort, individuality, and a fearless attitude toward fashion. Each creation is designed to be both a wearable piece of art and a statement of personal identity.
This collaboration with Christopher Mark transforms NYRVA’s signature speckled cowhide into an armchair chair crafted from galvanized metal tubing and upholstered with that same textured hide used in their clothing. The piece reflects a seamless fusion of disciplines, where fashion's tactile materials meet sculptural furniture design, emphasizing authenticity, rugged elegance, and functional artistry. This chair embodies the spirit of both brands: made to be seen, touched, and experienced as a unique expression of design and material integrity.
